Bottle. Clear brown, beige head. Vague smell of toasted dark bread crust, very little sugars. Plain watered down taste of a macro dunkel, very little sweetness, dry little roast, smooth. Very boring.

1 pint bottle. Pours clear chestnut brown colour with a moderate dense off-white head. Retention is above average. Nose: caramel, chocolate, khalva, some esters. Light body. Taste: sweetish. Dark malts. Diluted feel. Somewhat estery. Well, it fits the style nicely. I have to remember my last Newcastle. In comparison: better nose, worse taste. But you really get what it is supposed to be: a brown ale.
