Bottled (from Alko). Ambery brown colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is dry fruits, toffee, some nuts, caramel and mild alcohol with some ripe fruits. Flavour is dried fruits, wood, caramel, quite strong on the floral and fruity hops with mild alcohol giving it a slight kick but not overdoing itself.

A murky, reddish and dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has dried and concentrated sweet fruits, apricot-plum, caramel, quite intensive. Taste has dried fruitness, some earthyness and wood, the herbal bitterness is nicely drying the strong sweetness. Quite simple and straightforward taste. Almost full bodied, low cabonation but it's fine for this style. In princible, there are nothing wrong, but still more nuanced and complex beer should be brewed for this style.

Bottled 750ml (Alko)
Brown colour, small beige head. Aroma has dried fruits, wood, hops. Full-bodied. Sweetish but not overly sweetish but hides ABV very well. Dried fruits (raisins), caramel, maltyness, wood in the flavour. Soft palate, not much bitterness. Feels a bit even strong Belgian ale than Barley Wine and is quite different than Beer Hunters' previous hoppy BW. Nice.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, from Alko, 20180208) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, banana, alcohol and toffee. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, raisins, banana, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, hops and bitterness. A surprisingly balanced barley wine that managed to hide its ABV well.
