Mexican Hat is named after the sombrero- shaped rock in Utah. This beer is based on a Vienna Lager, with the addition of maize. Mexican Hat has light corn and toasty flavors with a touch of bitterness. Clean and crushable.

On tap at Fieldwork - Berkeley, pours a clear copper amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice toasted bready malt character upfront, with just enough hopping — damn, that does smell good for such a lame beer style. Flavour has a lot of depth for what it is, with lots of toasted bready malt and a touch of caramel. Plenty of depth for such a style. Very good.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours golden amber with a white head. Mildly roasty caramel aroma. Med minus body. Tastes like a very nice Vienna. A bit Noble hop; a bit caramelized breadiness. Not very dry, and mildly bitter. Fits the style.
