Tap at Cap Hop. Pours dark brown, but not shading towards black. Decent tan head. Aroma of smooth brown, lightly treacle, medium dark, more words neeeded here, malt with a really nice bit of cooked plums. Like plums. These plums are not like cooked prunes. Like canned plums. Med body plus a bit - not thick - going towards thin as the carbonation leaves. The malt washes away, and the delicious plums make their statement. More beers should be aged on plums. As for the barrel, there’s a musty/oaky aspect, but it does not detract from the plums. For what it is, this is a great beer. Yummy stuff.
