Tap at Cap Hop. Pours clear dark gold with an arguably beige head. Aroma seems to be lightly sweet in a sickly malty way. Saving grace is something suggesting rye. And a bit of pale fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is not very dry, somewhat malty, and seems to have a touch of rye spice. Whatever, it does not have that chocolate note I abhor in some ambers. Ambers are among my least favorite styles. But this one is clean, has pleasing malt, not much bitter, but a touch of something (rye?) to relieve the malt sweetness. Very good for the style.
