A classic American Pale Ale with traditional Northwest hops and a biscuity malt balance courtesy of floor malted British heirloom barley. Tribute to the classic APA's that kickstarted this whole hoppy beer thing several decades ago.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated July 14, 2020. Aroma is moderately hop forward with orange, grapefruit, tropical fruit and lighter dank, woody notes. Medium light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Faint alcohol note. Pours a slightly hazy, gold color with a large fairly thick, frothy white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Medium lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Fairly strong, assertive bitterness that carries into a drier, crisp finish. Moderately strong hop notes of orange and grapefruit with lighter tropical fruit and dank, resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent pale ale. Good malt notes and assertive bitterness is combined with a crisp finish. Hop flavors and aroma are rather balanced and not particularly fruity.

Can shared by Marcus. Pours gold with a transient white head. Aroma is lightly roasty malt with citrus and arguably some evergreen. Almost pungent. Med body. Flavor is very pungent (just fits) with citrus and arguably pine. Malt started a bit roasty but the hop killed it. Good. Nice stuff.
