Cask gravity at the brewery shop. Aroma is sweet nutty jam fruits. Clear rich red copper colour with a lasting thin off white head. Flavour is nutty malt, dried fruit, some earthy hop bitterness. Really good condition. Another solid beer.

Bree Louise. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with low carbonation. Sweetish malt, little dried fruits. Over ripe orange. Light finish. It’s fine.

Cask, handpump at The Crown, Charlton-On-Otmoor, Oxfordshire, Sunday 29th December 2013 Pours copper in colour with a slight head, I thought that I had rated this as I have had it quite a lot over the years and a couple of times over the last weeks. Touch thin and watery but aside from that it is ok, caramel, nutty and with a little bitterness, (I wished they’d have upped the Cascade and Liberty), it is absolutely fine its a safe beer. Cask at Wetherspoons in Rickmansworth, Herts. A deep copper coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes of caramel, quite fruity, sweet, vaguely nutty. Not bad.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Brown with a moderate cream head and a good rich mouthfeel. Treacle up front follows through into a sweet, fruit taste with lemony hints. A woodland mulch bitterness at the end tries to balance but doesn’t quite achieve it, leaving a slightly sticky aftertaste. Far more interesting that most Rebellion ales - a good effort that for me didn’t quite work out.

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Nut brown. Sweet and very roasty with some citrus and a bold moputhfeel. Fruity and rounded with a soapy, intensely bitter finish.
