Try as you may you wouldn't be able to resist this intensely flavoured, strong dark ale. Take in this powerfully rich and warn collision of chocolate, liquorice and sweet raisin goodness.

Bottle bought from the Anglian Beers stall or whatever it was called at Bury St E Market. Aroma has sweet dark dried fruit, molasses and underlying sweet liquorice. Darkest brown. Glossy. Foamy beige head soon shrinks away but leaves behind some decent lacing. As per the aroma, this primarily sweet - them dark fruits and cream. Liquorice and booze then appears. Underlying boiled veg is a tad annoying. Although the lasting flavour is the bitter liquorice. Medium bodied. Creamy albeit it also seems thin. I don't know... Nice enough, however doesn't seem the finished article.
