Can from Cobbett's, Dorking. Aroma combines toffee and coffee, with a malty edge. Opaque dark chestnut. Thick foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Piney. Herby. Followed up by a touch of sour berries and low key burnt caramel sweetness. The latter being more evident into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. I enjoyed this. Good US style brown. For better than previous Pilgrim beers which serviceable at best.
