This is a very special blend of two beers & a cider. A rye Kettle soured stout (deep) blended with Funk, a sparkling graf which in itself is a blend of a strong red barrel aged belgian ale & a farmhouse cider. This beer offers it all, expect robust roasted malt notes topped with wild funky fruit.

Panda at home, thanks to Tipple, 15/11/21. Black with a tan cap. Nose is tarte fruit esters, apple skin, light balsamic vinegar strains, damp oak, light charr effect. Taste comprises tangy dried berries, light funk, fruit balsams, ashen tones, dates, cocoa sprinkle. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a soured fruit twang. Not bad.

Can ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma is interesting - apple sharpness combines with a malty chocolate for an apple cake effect. Albeit with a sour milk edge. Dark and inky. Bubbly light beige head soon recedes. The cider element is really up front, although it was presumably always going to compliment the sour beer in the blend. With sourness up front there's then underlying malty creaminess and smooth rye grains. Develops a low key coffee streak. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. I like. Just an interesting beer/cider blend that slips down.
