May Provisions Farmhouse Witbier is a Belgian-style wheat beer with citrus zest, aged in stainless steel under pressure with several strains of brettanomyces for 7 months and then bottle conditioned for a further 2 before release. Delicate fruity and floral esters and a crisp finish from the brettanomyces with soft notes of citrus and fresh hay.

Bottle ordered from Ghost Whale. Aroma has funk and citrus with soft fruit and honey. Gold. Opaque. Fizzy translucent white head. Light sour. With a bitter brett edge. Citrus to the fore. A touch vinous. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Leaves a chalky mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. It's fine. I imagine it would be refreshing after a day in the fields but it's neither really a Wit or a Sour. More like a low key Saison.
