Unadulterated, straight from the barrel, for our friends at #VISBF 2020. Fermented with Belgian yeast, then aged in Tempranillo barrels for nine months with a Flemish mixed culture. Complex, funky and very slightly sour.

Bottle from the Virtual Salford Independent Beer Festival box, Thursday night. Under the metal cap there was second plastic cap that appeared to be stuck on. Never seen this type before. Ended up cutting a whole in the top with the blade from a bottle opener. Aroma is funky, fruity, vaguely vinous. Another beer just full of floaters. A rose colour. Fizzy white head soon shrinks. Medium sour. Vinous. Salty edge. Oaky. Medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. A laid back juicy Flemish red. But, sheesh, those floaters are so offputting.
