Bottle from Bourne Valley Farm Shop. Aroma is rich and yeasty, almonds, figs and candy sugar. Boozey edge. Dark and inky. Thin foamy beige head. Initial sour berries with underlying malts and boozey bitterness. Fruity tangy edge and a nuttiness then appear. Molasses in the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. I was speaking to the brewer about this beer and he explained that it started off as a Belgian style beer and it certainly has Quad like tendencies.
