A 6.0% classic Hefeweizen style beer.

Brewed with over 55% of the malt bill being made up of Wheat, Rolled Oats, Torrefied Wheat, Flaked Torrefied Oats & Flaked Torrefied; resulting in a beautiful mouthfeel and a huge body. Traditional Mittelfruh German hops were used alongside a classic German style wheat beer yeast.

Expect a big rounded soft mouthfeel with bursting banana notes with a touch of classic spice from the hops.

Can from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 2 months prior to BBE. Pours a semi-hazy yellow-gold with small white head. Aroma of citrus, banana, wheat, some spice; a nice fragrant sweetness to it. Taste of a toasted wheat, citrus, bitter herbal and spicy notes but with a nice level of sweetness to balance. A top Hefeweizen, great stuff.

440ml can – Pours a hazy amber colour with a large foamy cream coloured head that slowly settled. The aroma is a grainy, estery, banana, citrus peel and spice. A sweetish grainy taste, wheat, caramelised banana and yeasty flavours with a zesty spicey finish. Very nice.

Can from BOB, Sydenham. No reduced ever so slightly to 5.9% ABV. Aroma has caramelised banana and cloves. Cloudy amber. Thick fluffy white head. Bitter core with a citrus sour edge. Good dose of cloves. Only a vague sweetness on the periphery. Light-medium bodied. Slick if thinnish. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Decent stuff - although more hoppy than the traditional hefe the packaging references.
