Cask at the Eldon Arms, Reading. A deep mahogany colour with a loose cream head; sweet, oaty aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a dry fruity taste, some tart cherry and plum; and a lingering fruity porridge finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 8/12/2016. Near black in colour with a moderately sized, beige, head. Aroma of milk chocolate, blackcurrants and toasty malts. Flavour had chocolate sweetness, berry sweetness, some liquorice and a gentle finish. Finish.
