Queen is the first of a series of stouts showcasing great #RdgUk coffee. This batch has been infused with Coffee Gem’s La Virgin coffee beans: originating from Colombia, these are medium roast beans with butterscotch flavours leading into orange, stewed green apples, and roasted apples.

Bottle at home from Grumpy Goat, 1st October 2020. Pours a dark brown black beer: aroma is coffee, cocoa. Taste is clear and quality coffee, with dark malts. It’s really coffee forward and nicely bitter, coffee bean, the flavour is continuous and it’s actually a very nice small batch coffee stout

Bottle delivered by A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Rich dark coffee aroma. Milky edge. A hint of sour berries. Dark. Inky. Frothy beige head. Light-medium bitter before sour berries and underlying sugary sweetness come through. The coffee bitterness remains throughout. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. Decent enough. No mistaking that this is a coffee Stout.
