Can from Hoptimism. Appearance - murky purple to black. Thin lacing that disappears quickly. Nose - tonnes of blueberry and blackberry. Only a slight undernote of sourness, which I suspect comes from the fruit. Taste - blueberries again. Creamy elements from the wheat and maybe even a little nutmeg. Wondering if there's a base of hefeweizen here. Palate - creamy and light to medium bodied. Balanced dryness on the finish rather than specifically bitterness. Overall - all pleasure, no pain.

Can from Westbourne Wines, Bournemouth. Low key blueberry aroma with some spice and sweetness. Cloudy purple. Thin creamy white head. Light bitter, a tad moreso into the finish as the blueberries kick in. Underlying cloves. Tangy. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Dry finish that ultimately dominates. Some astringency. I added this as a Fruit beer because the blueberry puree pretty much entirely masks whatever the original wheat beer was like. Dried my mouth out but too yoghurty to to be crisp or refreshing.
