The German half of the Mad Yank Brewery finally got her way and asked (read: told) us to make a Gose. We happily obliged (it was that or lose our jobs).
We gave it a touch of malt/biscuit character to compliment the salty aftertaste. Not just for summer, this gose goes down smooth all year round.

27/8/2020. Bottle from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Pours clear golden amber with a small short lasting white head. Aroma is citrus, hoppy, touch herbal, with a hint of peppery spice. Moderate sweetness and light sour. Moderate body, a little watery, average carbonation. Nice tart finish, but lacking the expected salty side.

Bottle from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Low key aroma, earthy spice and citrus. Faded gold. Creamy white head forms a thin ring. Tart. Zesty. Sour citrus. It smooths out into the finish in which the spice and malt become more apparent. Light. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Refreshing and refreshingly simple.
