A scotch ale infused with heather in the boil and bumped up with brown sugar to enhance its rich molasses & caramel flavour.

Cask at the brewpub. Sweet molasses and malt aroma with a definite whiff of heather. Muddy cola brown. Thin off-white just rings the rim. Light sweetness and malts with a light bitter core. Medium bodied. Slick with some stickiness. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Nice but basic - the brown sugar comes through but not picking up heather in the taste.
