Third in our Ryeclops series, our rye stout boasts a rich chocolate aroma mingled with rye spice. In every sip, flavours of dark chocolate grow mingled with a powerful crisp bitterness of pine and some liquorice. Creates a beautiful dark complex stout.

On tap at Pig’s Ear Fest, Hackney, London. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, citrus aroma. Tastes hoppy, roasty, malty, citrus, pine. Enjoyable stuff.

Keg at The Pint Shop, Oxford, Wednesday 14th December 2016 Pours black and whilst it clearly has carbonation in the mouth it’s quite shy on the head front, actually that sounds wrong, moving on.......a damn good roasty but gloriously hoppy BIPA, lengthy bitterness, fresh and juicy really juicy. This is damn good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Keg at Craft Clerko, 24/11/16. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is pine, charr, roasted tones, blackberries, spice. Taste comprises earthy hops, light black peppery spice, charr, earthy feel, red berry notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop finale. Decent enough CDA.

Keg at craft beer Co Clerkenwell, for the tap takeover. A oily jet black coloured pour with a fading mid tan head. Aroma is sweaty roasted malts, tangy apple and lemon hops, little woody pine on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of sweet woody pine, liquorice, toffee, burnt black sugars, pine resin. Palate is medium sweet sticky, highish carbonation sugary. Lingering woody pine, assertive hop bitterness. Pretty good.
