Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Caramel aroma. Roast and caramel flavor with toffee and light alcohol. Medium bodied. Roast and caramel linger with light chocolate.

On draft at Caps & Taps. It pours a dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma is a little hot with bourbon and fudge. The flavor is very rich and smoky with s’mores and bourbon. Full bodied, but not overly sweet. Very well done.

Pint can. The beer is black with a smallish light brown head. The aroma is sweet chocolate with malt balls and light roasty coffee. Just big fudgey chocolate sauce over everything else. The malt is interesting and works well with the chocolatey stout base. Big vanilla and sorta lactosey note, but I can’t tell how much of that is just the malt balls. Rich chocolate and malt flavor. Solid roast, particularly in the finish, gives depth and bitterness. Full, round feel. Very tasty beer.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan head. Aroma is kind of leathery, but it’s bringing to mind the old linoleum paste from the 50’s. Full minus bodied. Flavor is chocolate, leathery, some dark fruit, treacle. Nice, but unusual. Dangerously quaffable.
