Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is brown malt with yeasty notes. Caramel and a hint of chocolate. Touch of brown sugar in the finish. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Say, this is a fine Dubbel.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from JW and Truus. Clear brown with an off-white head. Dark caramel aroma with some red fruit. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Nice dubbel.

Appearance: Dark brown, slight haze. Small, tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, brown sugar, toasted. Taste: Dark malt, medium to dark fruits. Some brown sugar sweetness. Smooth. Bought: Slijterij Groningen Vismarkt, 330 ml, €3.29 Info: 23/9-2023, BB: 30/11-2023

0,33 l bottle from Heimathaven, Oldenburg. A darkest red brown in the glass, one finger light tanned head. Malty smell with sugar and herbal elements. Taste starts fruity sweet, brown sugar, malt in the second row. Really some chocolate in the second part, little bit dry alcoholic. Hints of licorice. Very low carbonated as expected. Nice!
