Our brand new citrus IPA is exploding with bright citrus aroma and flavor. Creating an exciting new variation on our flagship Loose Cannon, TropiCannon clocks in at the same 7.25%ABV as its cousin, but packs a full blast of blood orange, grapefruit, mango and lemon flavor. We’ve downplayed some of Loose Cannon’s piney-ness and amped up the citrus by swapping Centennial and Palisade hops for Amarillo and even more Simcoe. We’ve introduced dried grapefruit, orange and lemon peel in the brewing process and added mango, blood orange and more grapefruit post-fermentation.

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed dark gold under a large foamy off white cap. Nose is bright medicinal citrus reminiscent of the effervescent Vitamin C tablets of my youth. Tastes the same. Mouth is medium and creamy with prickly carbonation (though that may be imagined based on the flavour). Nope. 5-/4/4-/3/10

Oh my !! Tang smell with that beautiful sweet fake orange smell. Slightly unfiltered, golden-amber colour with a frothy-creamy warm light-beige head, decent stay, leaving some nice creamy lacing. The taste is more on the real side with citrus zest and juice as a base. It is more on the bitter side, cutting that sweetness with a very dry end. So yeah. It smells great - for those memories of candy orange artificial aromas, but the rest is pretty solid as a stronger citrusy IPA.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a hazy gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up candy like tropical and citrus notes and little else. The taste delivers scittles like citrus and tropical fruit candy flavors. I get little else. Sad. Don't drink this.

On tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours a clear golden orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet candied citrus and tropical fruits with a bit of grain underlying. Flavor has juicy candied tropical fruit and pineapple with an earthy grain backbone.

12 oz bottle, pours clear copper. Full bodied with tangerine aroma. Taste has a lot going on with orange peel, grapefruit, and a follow on artificial sweetness that trails off as a bitter finish.

Pours resin-colored with a thick white head. Aroma of blood orange. Taste is fantastic, blood orange fades to pineapple and citrus notes. Palate has a subtle fruity note that lingers on the nose. Delicate malt notes. Fantastic.
