Donkerbruin bier met mooie stevige creme kleurige schuimkraag. Smaak is licht bitter met iets van chocokale, wat anijs, koffie en pruimen. Toppie.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Very weird color for a quadrupel: opaque black color, full sized light brown colored head. Did they mislabel this? Okay, aroma: malts, earthy, iron. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, pretty bitter, a bit dusty iron notes. Hmm odd and to be honest, totally not a quadrupel. An average stout at best, but probably not even that.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Very dark brown with a beige head. Dark caramel aroma with dried plums, raisins and dark malts. Sweet taste with a sweet finish. Very well made quadrupel.

Flesje gedronken bij bierreclamemuseum in Breda. Diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met mooie stevige beige schuimkraag. Aroma is moutig en rokerig. Smaak is iets zoet en rokerig. Rokerige smaak blijft even hangen en eindigt in lichte bitterheid.

Really dark brown colour with lasting creamy head. Roasted malt. Caramel but going towards dark treacle. Hint of caramelised banana. Roasted bitterness. Very good.
