Sample at the taproom. Clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hop and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Tiger, Tiger, San Diego. Hazy light orange with a white head. Aroma of hops, some pineapple, grass and light malt. Similar taste. The body was medium as was the bitterness. Fresh and easy to drink.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours coppery gold with a slight white head. Aroma of citrus with a touch of pine, maybe some pale stone fruit, and some barely noticeable caramel. Hop tickle in the nose. Med body at least. Slight hop burn. Flavor is a slightly roasty malt with a lot of citrus/pine on top of it. Given the burn I’m thinking it should be dank, but not coming out for me that way. It is way full of hop and very nicely bitter. As a pursuer of bitterness I like it a lot, and IMHO this is being under rated.

Pour is a hazy red-ish with a large white head. Aroma is a dank pine hop with some earthy malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. Piney west coast hops with a little bitterness. I get an odd roasted peanut in the aftertaste. It’s not bad again just kind of odd. Pretty straight forward old school west coast IPA.
