Tap @ Borefts 2017. Black. The Laphroaig is dominating the aroma. Malty sweet, flavor, caramelly. Lingering peat from the barrel. Lacks balance because of the almost sugary sweetness.

On tap. Pours black with light tan head. Aromas of peaty scotch, dark sugar, and sweet malts. Sugary flavors of chocolate and peaty oaky scotch. A little phenolic but sweetness counters. Well done sipper

Kicsi, villámgyorsan elillanó hab, fekete szín. Édeskés, whiskey-s,vaníliás, aszalt gyümölcsös, kávés, csokis illat. Édes, csokis, kávés, kakaóporos, aszalt gyümölcsös ízvilág, komoly whiskey-s, hordós, vaníliás aromákkal és egy jó adag Islay szigeti füstösséggel. Testes, alig szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Csodásan egybesimuló, egymást kiegészítő ízek, mintaszerű arányokkal.

Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, modest fine carbonation. Viscous sweet dark malts. Sweet tangy dark fruits. Mild spice. Islay whiskey brings a little smoke, but mercifully not that much peat. Smooth rich tangy fruity finish. Pretty drinkable for the hefty abv but quite sweet.

Bottle, 330 ml, from Že V Redu Primož. Shared with JFK10000 and Max. Pours black with medium beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, smoke, wood, licorice, peat, quite sweet, even a bit sugary. Full bodied.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Tan-coloured head fully diminishing over a jet black body. Minimal lacing. Inviting peaty aroma, hints of wood and dark malts. Blended taste of peaty malts, oak, and vanilla sweetness with warmth from the alcohol to a lingering sweet ending. Well bodied. Gets way too sweet in the long run. Best part was the peaty aromas. (hotel room, Harstad 16.06.2018).

Bottle. Very dark brown color, coffee foam. Aroma: barrel, iodine and bandages, caramel, dried fruits, sweetly, powerfully. Taste: volcanic ash, iodine, caramel, whisky, dried fruits, powerfully, ashes cigars, peat.

Bottle at home from Malt Attacks, 1st March 18. Pours black and viscous, dark tan head. Aroma is wood, barrel, peated whiskey, molasses. Taste is sweet, barrel, whiskey, molasses, dark sugar, it's sweet, but thankfully the peat and whiskey cuts through. Good sipper, better served cool.

Pours black into a tulip. Tan head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Smoky peat aromas. Sweet hot caramel and smoky peat front to back. Lasting chocolate covered bacon finish.
