Tap at Borefts 2017. Almost black with dark beige head. Lots of peat, Laphroaigh on the nose, very sweet sugary notes, caramel, toffee, soft sugared nuts. Very very sweet with peaty and alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied. Doesn't really work for me.

Borefts 2017 day 1. Black with thin brown head. Big sweet roasted chocolate malts, big thick peat. Big sweet and deep bitter. Full body, soft carbonation. Very nice greasy feel.

Bottle at Beerlovers bar. Thnx Wally ! Pours black, good and thick white head. Smell is peated, rich black malts. Taste is full, bit peat, but quickly overtaken by the black malts. Very balanced, still. Body is simply perfect, as was to be expected. TBH, not sure if my tollerence level is finally rising up for the peaty character, or wether it's this unique beer, but this might very well be the first peated beer I could actually enjoy and finish the whole bottle of... Still, way prefer the other editions, but as far as peated goes, this one seems to be the best I had to date.

09-09-17 // taster, draft. At Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, London. Deep black .So intense. loads of roasted malts, peaty notes, liquorice, smoke, coffee. Whisky finish.

(thanks for sharing!) Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 2. Black with no head. Nose is far too peated, umami, varnish, black liquorice and molasses. Far too heavy on the ashes, molasses, burned, varnish, boozy harsh,…. Molasses & black liquorice body, harsh. Far too much for me Islay etc.

Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is peat, lots of it. Taste is peat, chocolate, coffee. Full-bodied, too peaty; but I am in genera not a fan of peaty beers.

Tap at beavertown extravaganza. Pours pitch black, nose is smoke, full on islay, nutty. Palate is pine, smoke, caramel, coffee. Intense shit.
