Sampled at Borefts Bier Festival 2017. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Notes of peat, roast, chocolate, cocoa, more roast. Quite nice, but a bit over the board with the roast, even for me.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017, day 1. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, heavy islay BA, peat, toasted wood, sweetish and somewhat bitter. Heavy body, average carbonation. Ok but too peaty / too much islay for me. 7-4-6-3-13.

Bottle, @ Ahven. Thanks mjs. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Peat smoke and sweetness. Tar, peat, sweetness, mild booze. I can see the love, but to me it's too sweet.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Punavuoren Ahven, 20170923) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had peat, liquorice and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, peat, smoke, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, peaty and bitter. A nice beer spoiled with too strong barrel effect.

23/9/17: Impressive. Remains as ridiculously sweet as the base, but with a nice peaty layer over it. Boozy, thick and tasty.

9/7/19: Batch 483. I'm still impressed by the lunacy of this super sweet stout, combined with the heavy peat of the whisky, and even more so that it actually works. Thick, sweet, rich and peaty. Raisins and iodine. Boozy beast of a beer. But so damn tasty.

Taste: very sweet, lots of caramel, sugary, more peat, all peat. Aftertaste: all peat, caramel, very malty, more peat, way too much peat, don’t like it...
