Bottle @ Speakeasy. Pours deep black, looks like tar with some brown foam on top. Nose has leather, sweet roast and lots of peat smoke. Really peaty but all that sweetness balances this peat intensity in an interesting way, making it quite easy to sip. Flavour is first and foremost toffee chocolate cupcake sweet - it is Pime Öö after all. Peat smoke and leather add another dimension, coupled with whisky booze. Thick, dense and oily. Much more easier to drink than I thought it would be, could finish full bottle!

On tap @Eur Hop 2017 (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma abbondante color cappuccino, molto persistente.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, smoke, Islay whisky, bonfire, pipe tobacco, charred wood and marshmallow. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, charred wood, smoke, warming alcohol, spice, liquorice, chewy malt, toasted marshmallow, warming smoke, burnt toffee and fudge with some warmth through the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich and flavoursome. Very nice Islay BA imperial stout.

Smells like laphroig, tastes excellent. A little less sweetness and this'd be mindblowing.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2017. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty and rather smoky aroma of dark chocolate, lots of peat and iodine, licorice and hints of coffee. Rather sweet, malty, moderately roasty and fairly smoky taste of dark chocolate, licorice, tar, peat and iodine, followed by a long, roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry and very smoky finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Fantastic if you like peat!
