330ml bottle from Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of peat, syrup, dark candi sugar, whisky, oak and roasty malts. Taste is sweet, peaty and roasty with some syrup, licorice, wood, oak, whisky, leather, smoke and tar. Finish is heavy, peaty and woody with some leather, smoke, licorice and roasty malts. Heavy and peaty.

Opaque colour, small beige head. Strong Islay whisky in the nose, peat and alcohol. Full-bodied. Front is very sweet, then peat, whisky and tobacco. Then again aftertaste has sweet toffee. This is mix of sweet and whisky. Quite straightforward BA which gains from cellaring. Not the best from the Öö series.

Fat på All In Beer Fest 2017. Svart med litet brunt skum. Löjligt myckt Islay i doften med charkdisk, enbärsavkok, toffee och riktigt rökiga, söta toner. Stor kropp. I smaken rejält med sockersötma tillsammans med chark, toffee, lakrits och tjärpastill. Ruskigt stor och nästan slisksöt i smaken. Riktigt maffig dock.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black with no head. Smells peat, earthy, clay, fingerpaint, sweet, toasty. Tastes very sweet, peat, sugar, vanilla, earthy, iodine, bandaid. It's probably a good beer and I like the sweetness, but the crazy amount of peat kills it for me. Full body, soft carbo.

Black with almost no head. Aroma is fish, dark chocolate, licorice. Taste is very smokey, deep dark chocolate bittersweetness, with sweet molasses. Smoky but quite drinkable. Alcohol well hidden. Nice balance. Not bad.

Bottle at home after being positively flabbergasted at borefts, both with this and the Rukkivein. Aroma is breathtakingly complex and rich. Loads of dark malts, roasty aromas, complex berry and fruit notes, plums and figs, dark chocolate and of course peaty Islay whisky. Big body, sweet and spicy mouthfeel, rather thick and smooth. Flavour is incredibly rich, very sweet, toffee through the roof, a lot of peat, whisky, vanilla, spices, a tad foresty/herbal. Fantastic. One of the best impys I have ever had. So balanced and round, the Islay character is not too pronounced. Just wow. Couldn't drink too much of it though, it's a heavy sipper.

Keg at the Beavertown Extravaganza, day two, 09/09/17. Pitch black with a dirty tan head that collapses to a swirl. Nose is peated malts, black peppery spice, charred wood, tobacco, cocoa powder, burnt toffee. Taste comprises mellow roast, charr, bonfire, spice, chocolate, toasted brown sugar, dried fruits, smoke, mellow peat barrel effect. Full bodied, fine to oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent Islay impy ... balance is pretty good.
