The beer is a fairly pale yellow gold. There’s sediment in the bottle, but it settles out, so the clarity kinda depends on the bottle handling. The head is white and a little fizzy, but it settles into a fairly solid layer of foam. Better than expected retention, some lacing. The aroma has a very pleasant lacto character. It’s fruity with a restrained lacto yogurt character. Smells very wine barrel-ish. Sweet grapey note with oak. Apricot, plum, light lemon. Light bready, wheaty background. Taste is gently sour with lots of that nice fruity wine barrel flavor. No real pucker. Gentle sweetness. Very easy to drink and refreshing. The feel is creamy and light. Gentle carbonation. Lemon and oak in the finish. Lots of apricot with light under ripe pineapple. Lots of good stuff going on and absolutely no real negatives. Far too many of these lacto and/or wine barrel sours come out with a strong butter flavor, but this is free of that off-flavor. Excellent beer from Sudwerk. They deserve more praise for these Brewers Cut bottles.

Tap at the Davis Neer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a transient white head. Sour citrus aroma. Med+ body. Flavor is sour citrusy fruit. Not mouth rending, but quite towards that. Really nice sour.
