Deep brown, small tan head. This beer is a cross between wine and vinegar, due mostly to Stateside Craft’s apathy

Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver
Black color, beige head. Aroma of caramel, maple syrup, ice cream. Lean mouthfeel, sour, with some roasted malt, and a vegetable/herbal touch probably from the walnuts.
Nocino is a liquor made with green walnuts; it’s sweet and in no case is acidic.
Unpleasant beer.

Bomber from Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark malt and something hard to pin down. Med body + a bit. Flavor is smooth dark malt, and something tannic or woody. With thought I can believe there’s a walnut aspect. It finishes with a bend towards light sour. Very light, but definite. It’s very different from the standard porters. The astringency/mild sour really sets it out. Not usually a fan of nutty brews, but this is not that exactly.
