Bottle from Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA. Pours ruddy copper with a slight beige head. The aroma is plum/raisin with a treacle background. Med + body. There’s heat, but it’s not obnoxious to me. Flavor is medium treacle with some darkish fruits that seem rather plummy. Far from dry, but far from sticky. There is some bitter to help with the malt, tho not a lot. With the heat and flavors it suggests a BA beer, tho it’s not really woody. Imagining Irish Whiskey, but ... no such luck.
