Draft. Blackish beer with a tan head. Tart and light sour aroma. Red fruit and tart/sour flavor with light coffee. Medium bodied. Tartness/sourness lingers with light coffee, red fruit, and very light roast.

Draft. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of brett, roasted malt, and lemons. The flavor is acidic with beer, roasted malt, lemons, and brett, leading to a tart finish.

Draft at lupulo tap house Santa Cruz. Aroma is burnt toffee cake, treacle, apple, dusty, semi sweet, lactose sugars, condensed milk. Dark mahogany brown/ black coloured pour with a thin light ran head. Flavour is composed of tangy tart apple cake, toffee, charred wood, bitter roast. Palate is slightly thin, slightly sour, tangy, moderate carbonation. Little green apple. Interesting beer. Not to my taste.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a large, creamy tan head. Aroma suggest espresso. Sour hint? Med body or so. Flavor is coffee; dark malt. Has an earthy suggestion. Really smooth. There’s a slight acidity that could be called tart. Or not.
