Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Hazy blond color. Aroma of ass, manure, some Lambic may smell like this. Dry but not weak, lemony, puckery, manure.
This is excellent.

Pale. Has a leathery, bretty aroma, Has a nice lambicy aroma. Lots of tartness, leather, brett, and a touch of sweetness. Complex. This has a really nice character. It's definitely lambicy. Yum.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals plenty of barnyard funk, oak, and wild yeast. Flavour has lots of wild yeast, medium acidity and some oak. Certainly not like an authentic lambic, but it's more like one than a typical American sour. Wild, acidic and funky on the finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, medium white head, dissipates pretty quickly, some lacing. Aroma is mineral water, basement funk, oak tannins, dusty, hints of lemon, wisp of stonefruit. Flavor is dry, light tart, medium funk, musty and dusty. Light body. Quite good.

Capped 375 from Final Gravity. Pours translucent gold with a white head. The aroma reminds of Geuze. Med body, nearly. Flavor is a bit acidic, has bacterial notes. It’s a nice, moderate sour. It doesn’t bear comparison with the best wild ones from Belgium, but it is a very good ale that can stand along side the good Belgian wilds.

Part of a blind tasting at K&L in Redwood City. Clear light yellow with massive bubbles and off-white head. Lemon, crisp and floral with wonderful acidity.
