On tap at the Calicraft Taproom. It pours a hazed amber red color with an off white head. The aroma is buttery with toasted malt, berries and grape. Not great. The flavor is mildy tart and very thick on the palate. Thick with berries and malt. It has a nice level of berry tartness with hints of orange. Sweet malts throughout. Too thick of a mouthfeel, but the flavor was much better than the aroma IMO.

Bottle. Bronze beer with a dark cream head. Honey and light red wine aroma with light yeastiness. Yeast and bready flavor up front that becomes fruitier - red fruit and light wine. Medium bodied. Honey and malt linger with yeast and light red wine.

Capped 750 from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark orangey copper with a beige/tan head. Aroma is floral, and it does smell somewhat like berry jam. Not sure what kind of berry. Med body or so. Flavor is rather red berry, and there’s some earthy woodiness. Arguably a bit tart, but not strongly so. It’s a very nice thing - finishing fruity towards dry, but not very bitter. If bitter even applies. It’s more of a woody mild astringency. Tastes very good.
