Minimal beige collar on a jet black still body. Big barrel & espresso aroma. Medium bodied, silky smooth on the palate & a cloying back. Sweet espresso, oak, vanil6, dark spirits & port tastes. Outstanding!

*edited to add release* "oh my goodness", first words of my second Pohjala tasting.Bbd 17 01 21 batch 590. Delish coffee and coconut in a unique way. It's like an almond Joy meets a ferrero rocher with extra Nutella. Not the typical roastfest.danger!

Poured from a 330 ml bottle. Aroma is coffee forward with some light dark fruit notes and a bit of anise. Moderate chocolate notes with light roast notes. Hints of caramel and toffee. Medium light coconut and light alcohol spice. Pours black with a medium alrge, fairly thick and frothy, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a thin film that lingers. Light lacing and moderate length legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate, caramel, and toffee. It has a chocolate milkshake like chocolate profile. Medium bitterness with moderate coffee and medium.light coconut notes. Medium light alcohol spice with some lingering roast notes. Hints of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit sticky with medium to medium low carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice stout. I could use a bit more coconut and coffee in the flavor, but the chocolate notes are great.

From bottle at home thanks to kermis! Black color with nice brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, cocoa, chocolate, coconut, coffee, alcohol. Moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter taste like aroma but a bit more alcoholic. Medium to full silky oily body with soft carbonation and long alcoholic cocoa chocolate aftertaste.

Pours pretty viscously to huge mossy-brown head, lively and quite stable, over virtually black beer. Bit sweetish and obviously roasted nose. Both the coffee and cocos quite present, as well as a lot of vanilla, nearly suggesting Bourbon - or Dame Blanche . Strong, penetrating despite the sweetness. Sharpish burnt/roasted flavour turning into sweet main taste, dessert-like, and a drier, more bitterish finish. Roast, coffee, mocha, burnt coconut/copra, vanilla, overripe banana, chocolate. Very full-bodied, warming, voluptuous, not very carbonated. Sweet but good. 8/4/7/4/15
