500 c&c as "Sparkling Perry" from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours perry color with some sparkles; white bubbles on top. Aroma is fairly ripe pear-making me thing of baked pear - maybe with cinnamon. Med body or so. Flavor is astringent. Sparkle weakened quickly, but it’s a bit sparkly. Quite dry. Good experience. I buy the comment on acidity and tannin. I can even buy the red berry finish. I think. Pretty costly, but nice stuff. Label on bottle neck says Semi Sweet. Finishes dryer than that, IMO.

$20 bottle. Pours with a pale straw yellow hued body with a white head that fizzes away in 20 seconds or so. Aromas are of pear, mild acid balance, light spiced notes (almost cinnamon like), with some doughy yeast notes. General fruitiness overall. Flavors are dry and strongly tannic with a decently strong malic acid component. Citrusy and relatively bright, but not extremely complex. Dry with low body but high carbonation. Overall a pretty solid perry.
