(Tap) hazy, bright, orange color with a small cream colored head; aroma of compote, balanced flavor with a long, light bitter finish

16oz bottle from the brewery. Not much of an aroma, perhaps some orange marmalade and brewhouse tones. Malty and sweet. Doesn't quite nail it, but a unique enough brew. No real hop tone at all, sort of like and amped up, wheated Wee Heavy. Hints of amber malt perhaps. Rustic and a little bit earthy. Pleasant mouthfeel. Enjoyable in that separates itself from Barleywine. Not so impressive in that it can't even compare to other Wheat Wine examples, like Good City batch 1000. OK.
