12 ounce bottle, 2/2/24. Black, thin fizzy brown head, average retention. Aroma of roast, cinnamon, coffee, chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, cocoa, tart berry, whiskey. Slick, well balanced.

Bottle. Appearance is a dark cola brown with a thin off white head, aroma of chocolate, toffee, molasses, cacao. Taste is heavy on molasses, syrupy, light bourbon burn. Just a decent stout.

12oz bottle. Thick black body, beige head. Deep and sweet, I get a lot more cacao and chocolate syrup tone than bourbon. Sweet and pretty much a pastry stout, but a little less sickeningly sweet and overbearing than those tend to be. The barrel comes out the more I sip at it, but really drenched in cacao powder. OK.
