Pours dark brown with a frothy brownish head. Aroma of toasted malt. Taste has incredibly smokey malt, lingering cocoa. Palate has more woody notes, some smokey resin. Not bad.

12oz bottle cap exploded off making me think infection. Doesn't really have a big, foamy head or too much funky sour tone so perhaps not. Medium bodied, pretty straightforward for the style. Captures the style I suppose, but rather bland and forgettable.

Bottle, drank right from. Presumed good dark beer eye. Nose is fresh dark malt. Taste is very palatable fresh porter feel, not over the top, thank you. Very little if any baltic in this fine example of a porter. Goes down easy and its very much appreciated, big nice beer for me. Did not anticipate this tasting this good.

On tap at Fulton, pours a reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and a hint of bready malt - vert light on the nose. Flavour is along the same lines, tasting very English, with medium toasted malt and a touch of toffee. Gentle and easy drinking. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and chocolate with light roasted malts supported. Flavor has a combination of chocolate and bread with roasted malts and dark grains underlying.
