Growler from the brewery. Thick, sticky, heavy, right next door to pastry in terms of mouthfeel, sweetness. The Belgian aspect is sort of restrained, or perhaps just hidden behind the coffee. Molasses tones for sure, the cherrywood is more subdued and not immediately apparent but makes more sense the more I sip at it. A little overbearing, not as much finesse as the classic Hercules. So overall not really my favorite at first, but the growler format really got me to know the beer better. Pretty much what never happens with tiny samples. OK, unique.
