We've teamed up with the wonderful team at West Street Kitchen to bring you Deeper Water with a difference: Coffee & Cacao Milk Stout - 5.2%

West Street have been satisfying the LHG teams daily coffee needs since they launched onto the Old Market scene last year, so it seemed fitting that we should make a cracking coffee beer together!

Hops: Bramling Cross, Mosaic
Malt: Pale Ale Malt, Caramalt, Crystal, Barley, Chocolate
Extras: Lactose, Cacao Nibs, Espresso Coffee (hand picked by West Street Kitchen & roasted by James Gourmet Coffee Co Ltd)

Shared at a tasting, small stable brown bubbly head, opaque black color, mellow coffee and mocha aroma with toasted bread and chocolate cake, flavor of chocolate cake, charcoal, light bitter chocolate and some dark bread. Very nice and enjoyable.

16oz can thanks to Steveoj pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice big milkcholate sweetness coffee and roast. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate vanilla coffee.

Can from Colin. Dark brown pour, small ring of head. Aroma is cofee and chocolate. Taste is roast malts, coffee and some molasses. Light bodied.

Can from Hoptimism, Black colour with a tan head. Lots of coffee aroma slight berry hints. Taste roasted bitter coffee and light sweet full body.

Can shared at Craft Beer Co Islington, 29/08/2018. Many thanks! A opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head . Aroma is nice earthy coffee, wood, praline. Flavour is composed of oily, bitter coffee, earth, wood, , burnt cocoa. . Paalte si semi sweet, oily, , tangy, moderate carbonation. . Lingering cocconut.

Can. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee finish.

Can split at CBC Holborn, thanks to Tipple, 29/08/18. Light black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is coffee grinds, spice, toffee, roast malts. Taste comprises dark chocolate, coffee bean - less prominent than the nose, roast malts, brown sugars, light black peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome stout for 5%.

Big light brown fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, mild espresso, lactose, minerals, grass, dark malts, dark sugar, chocolate, toast, hay, bark, alcohol, spices, cinnamon. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, toast, sour-ish roasted grain, hay, minerals, bark, sour coffee, paper, lactose, dark malts, grass. Medium bitterness, watery and slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Kind of boring.
