Trifaldi is our interpretation of a British Oatmeal Stout. We brew Trifaldi with a classic simple infusion mash using Marris Otter Pale Ale, Crystal malts along with flaked oats and roasted barley. It is hopped with East Kent Golding & Challenger during the boil in our copper kettle. After an open ale fermentation it rests in our cellars for several weeks.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in the glass with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light notes of dark chocolate; sweet oats, some baker's chocolate, coffee sweetness; light smoke
Flavor: meshes the previously mentioned aromas to a fine sweet to roasty to bitter quality; finishes semi-sweet with some bitter and roasty edges
Texture: medium bodied - maybe a touch under, sessionable and very smooth along the tongue
Overall: a very nicely done oatmeal stout well worthy of coming back to.

Light roast and some tang. This one has been on cask for a while here and not sure it's held up--tastes a little tangy and off. Black pour with creamy mocha head. Tangy finish. Cask at Churchkey.

Can, forgot to note the canning date, but very fresh, drunk 5/4/22. Clear, dark cola-mahogany with a light tan/dark beige head that is fluffy and very well-retained. Classic notes of raisin, coffee, dark chocolate and nice mineral/plaster-like yeast character with vibrant dark fruits. No alcohol, no flaw, no overdone specialty malts. Soft, well-attenuated, good base malt depth with honey and very light caramel and even light hop bitterness for balance. Low-to-moderate roast with tons of chocolate, light raisin and fig. All classic notes, well-executed with no alcohol or flaw. OEC and Schilling just absolutely kill the classics. Love it.
