Two Brothers set out to make a wide variety of creative and complex, yet balanced beers. But…once in a while we feel a need to “wobble” on the edge of really hoppy. Wobble IPA is golden in color with subtle malt character, big complex citrus and piney hop notes throughout.

12oz bottle. Kind of a classic NW 90s/2000s IPA..piny, citrus. Foamy off-white head on top of an unfiltered tan body. Kind of earthy, green garlic tones. A lot of hop tones going on but kind of has that oily, resinous hempy burnt(?) hop tone I don’t enjoy.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/2/2015. Pours slightly hazy bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and robustness of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. All around great robustness and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Tick from vintage estate. A bottle, at least it doesn’t smell like BO. What else can be said, this beer is terribly on style for an ipa. Can’t tell the difference from others when that mouth coating bitter soapy feeling coats my poor little lager loven taste buds. Chewing on green grapefruit rinds mixed with turpentine. Same with long nasty finish. Why would anybody drink this style when there are so many civilized beers out there like wild or sour ale? Aroma of this makes it a little better than its brethren.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a dreary cold and rainy late April Saturday afternoon, don’t want to go outside. Appearance is a clear gold with a modest billowy white head that laces to the glass, looks great. Aroma is a nice balance of grassy hops with notes of lemon. Taste goes down with a nice bitter flavor, not overpowering, pine notes, nice balance. Overall this is a good IPA.

Bottle. Golden beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light dusty aroma with light pine. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light summer fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light earth and light summer fruit.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden orange to yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. Speckled light lacing stuck finely leaving some light rings here and there.
The smell had a nice sweet to bitter orange peel leading into some light grapefruit, slightly grassy and lightly malted.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to combine and stay mainly sweet with a light bitter citrus to lead into the aftertaste and leave a semi-wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. For an AIPA with the date as it is, the carbonation seemed a bit slimmed down than other AIPA’s. No worries, still acceptable but just not as harsh.
Overall, the smell and taste are there. But I’m unsure if Two Brothers meant to smooth out the mouthfeel on this or not. I’m not complaining, I still like it.

On tap at Stub & Herbs. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy citrus and a touch of grapefruit with a bit of light grain. Flavor has notes of grass and earthy citrus with a grain backbone.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting citrus array that’s tangy bitter smelling tangerine and grapefruit and then picking up some spicy onion hoppy notes. The taste jumps right to it with a modest sweet malt base mixed with rich citrus hops that are a bit juicy but far more bitter with grapefruit, tangerine and a sliver of green earthy tasting lime. To midway the lime and earthy citrus grow as spicy dank onion murmurs to the surface. Solid ipa.

Pour is a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is a nice piney hop with some accompanying sweet caramel malt. Flavor is a nice bitter but floral hop bite and a rich malt base. This is a pretty solid IPA. Nice mix of hops and malt. Maybe a bit to sweet for my liking but this is clean and flavorful.

Bottle. Orange malt, orange peel, and quinine aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel, pine, and quinine flavor. Body on the light side.
