Bottle from Stacks. Jet black, no head. Aroma of date, fig, chocolate sauce, espresso, bourbon, vanilla bean, pecan nut, black olive. Taste has sweet date, prune & fig in a thick dark-chocolatey & pecan-nutty malt body, touch of umami olive. Peppery hops in the finish, lingering dark chocolate, espresso, warming bourbon alcohol and by consequence another touch of vanilla. Full body, oily-creamy texture, soft carbonation. Luscious Stout, gentle bourbon (not much acetaldehyde which I generally experience).

330 ml bottle. Pours black with no head. Aromas of vanilla, dark caramel, soft oaky bourbon, dry chocolate nougat, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of fruity bourbon, charred oak, dark fruit, dark sugars, vanilla, and oily roasted malts. Dry dusty finish. Very good.
