24/4/2018. Can at the Head of Steam, Newcastle. Pours mid brown with a large frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, bread, hint of chocolate, coffee and dark fruits. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. A good brown ale.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 5%. Moderately gushing can. Fairly dark brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of brown malts, burnt toast, caramel and brittle. Dry flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops in the finish.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm and stable off-white head. Dark apricot coloured body, unclear. Spotty lacing. Quite inviting aroma of biscuit, toffee and dried fruits. The taste profile follows suit with nuts, herbs, caramel and dried fruity hints towards the finish. Rounded mouth feel.

Lukter nøtter, trevirke, lett kaffe, kandis og rosiner. Middels minus i fylde. Nøtteaktig smak, lett karamellsødme uten bitterhet. Kort.
