Cask at Red Squirrel, High Wycombe. Copper-brown with a thin white head and a light fizz. Light wood, nuts and toffee. A little sweetness and dryness. Watery and nothingy. Dull.

Aroma of soft malts and some hazelnut. Has a tiny head and copper brown body. Flavour is an average mix of soffee malts and hints of barley. Kind of weak. This is a rather boring ale, to be honest.

Cask at the CP&K, 08/07/16. Cheshunt to amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit, faint cocoa, light scorch, brown bread. Taste comprises toasted brown sugar, light read berry notes, biscuit malt, toffee, light spice, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a restrained bitter smack. Ok for style.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Bright copper with a thin cream head; malty aroma with a hint of cinnamon; sweet nutty malt taste; and a dry caramel finish with a spicy warmth. A rather refined brown ale.

Cask at CBC SG - London. Pours clear reddish gold with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma has some nutty aspect, with lightly toasted grains and toffee. Light sweet flavour with grainy, lightly toasted malts, more butty notes, faint berries. Light bodied with fine carboantion. Moderately sweet on the finish, with more toasty malts and grains, some ripening berries. So so overall.
