Decadent and complex while remaining wholly refreshing and drinkable. This Stout is brewed with Milk Sugars and Chocolate to give rich flavours and body that goes down smooth.

Lively, opaque brown beer with a fizzy head that dissipates quite quickly. Aroma is light, bitter malt and a dash of coffee. Flavour is rich, malty chocolate, a bit of sugar sweetnes. Becomes a touch drier in the aftertaste. Doesn’t have the creaminess of some milk stouts because it’s lively but at 4.5% I could happily sit and drink this for a session.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours very dark brown. Some bourbon barrel, sweet and a bit boozy. Lively to crisp carbonation, medium body, almost too light for this nose. Still juicy and a bit fruity. Palate continues what began before. Very nice beer.

Bottle from Dicey Reilly in Ballyshannon. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen. Nice crema head. Nose - soggy cereal and light nutty chocolate. Taste - tasty chocolate, crunchy biscuit. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - a solid example of the style.

From tap. POurs dark brown to black, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. Lingering rich malt flavoured, coffee and chocolate notes. Lingering bitterness swept through the rich malt base into a medium, yet slight sweet finish.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, very dark brown to black color, aroma of cocoa, pencil sharpnings, dark chocolate and a hint of mud, flavor of carob, mud, toasted almost charred bread, light bodied and a tad bland, but still nice.
