Can thanks to Drake! Clear dark brown with a large, soft tan head. Caramel, roasted malt, bread crust nose. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, brown leaf. Simple, but simple can be good.

Black Ale. Tap at ABF. Roast, chocolate, caramel. Pretty close to a Stout, albeit a really boring one. Pretty insipid stuff, like they followed a homebrew recipe from the 90s half assedly. Boring stale malt extract feel. Tastes cheap, artificial.

Keg at the brewery. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, roast. Taste is chocolate, roast, plum, mild smoke. Medium bodied. Tasty.
